Special
Events...
Two special events hosted by the
district each year are the Talking Pumpkin at Halloween and Operation Santa Claus at
Christmastime.
Talking Pumpkin
On Halloween, the Talking Pumpkin
comes to visit Engine House 2 to visit with young ghosts and goblins. The Talking Pumpkin
entertains visitors in an informative and fun setting that combines the Halloween theme
with a fire safety message.
Operation Santa Claus

Operation Santa Claus takes place on
the weekends preceding the Christmas holiday. Santa Claus tours district neighborhoods
aboard "Sleigh One", a festively decorated trailer complete with a lighted
sleigh and reindeer, and a crew of elves. The on-duty crew accompanies Santa and his elves
as they parade through the subdivisions and stop at designated corners. |
